Meeting with students of the Department of publishing, editorial and design art of the Faculty of journalism of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, the journalist, editor of the magazine "Ақжелкен" Esey Zhenisuly began to say: "the most important thing is to be an editor yourself in life." A master class "the facets and secrets of Editorial activity" with students who will become future publishers and editors became a life lecture for students.

On November 2, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Journalism, Department of "publishing, editorial and Design Art" organized a master's hour with the director of the publishing house "Arys" Garifolla Anes on the topic "actual problems of publishing in modern Kazakhstan". Within the framework of the topic, the state of the publishing industry in the country was discussed, answers were given to students ' questions.

Today, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Journalism, Department of "publishing, editorial and design art" held a master class with Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, winner of the CIS Confederation of Journalists Award, editor-in-chief Kainar Olzhay. During the meeting, the journalist shared with the students the secrets of journalistic life and spoke about the difficulties and advantages of working in it.

Temirbek Kozhakeuly is one of the scientists and teachers who made a great contribution to the growth and development of Kazakh satire! He is a scientist who studied Kazakh satire in detail, thoroughly studied the system of satirical genres and theoretically justified it. Before that, there was no scientist who deeply studied and analyzed satire and humor in the science of Kazakh literature.

2nd year students of the faculty of publishing and design art of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi 3 visited the museum and house-museum of Dinmukhammed Konaev in Almaty.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Faculty of Journalism held a meeting of the Department of Publishing, Editorial and Design Arts. The meeting, which took place in the winter garden hall of the student palace named after Omirbek Zholdasbekov, was opened by the head of the department - doctor of philological sciences, professor Aigul Ramazanova, who introduced the team members to the new dean Sansyzbai Sharapiuly.

On September 15, a lecture on "Technology of publishing and editorial processes" was held in our department with subject teacher Abdiraman Ermakhan Shaikhyuly and entrepreneur Kalu Toktabolatov, a well-known book distributor in our country. During the lesson, the future publishers-editors shared their thoughts with a special guest in the framework of the current issues of the publishing industry and shared their opinions.

Readers' Club "Seltetkizer", consisting students of the Journalism faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, held an evening "independence and poetry of students" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence. 

On February 12, 2021, on the ZOOM platform, an online meeting was held with Raisa Kadyr, founder of the Steppe & World Publishing House. The meeting was organized by the Department of Publishing, Editing and Design Art of the Faculty of Journalism of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The meeting was attended by lecturers and students.
