First-year master's students from the Department of Mechanics, Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Alina Abdidin, Kuralai Eldoskyzy, Nazerke Momysheva, and Beket Bodau, presented their papers at the VII World Congress of Mathematicians of the Turkic World (TWMS Congress-2023), which took place in the city of Turkistan from September 20 to September 23, 2023, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the administration of Turkistan Region, and the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H.A. Yasawi (IKTU).

On September 19, at the Department of Mechanics, within the framework of the international educational project of the Erasmus program, Professor Marcin Kot from the AGH University of Science and Technology (Krakow, Poland) gave a lecture.

The ACA conference series is dedicated to promoting all types of applications of computer algebra and encouraging the interaction of developers of computer algebra systems and packages with researchers and users (including scientists, engineers, educators, and mathematicians). Traditionally, ACA is organized in the form of scientific sessions covering all fundamental aspects and applications of computer algebra. This year the conference was held at the Institute of Information Technology of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences - SGGW, Warsaw.

The teaching staff of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics Doszhan N., Lyazat Zh., Sakhaeva A., Nogaibayeva M. completed a scientific internship at the Berlin Technical University (Berlin, Germany) within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, GEOCLIC project in the period of 20.08.2023 – 26.08.2023.

Postdoc, Acting Professor of the Department of Mechanics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, PhD Yerzhan Belyayev participated in the 3rd Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry Conference and 9th V4 (Joint Czech-Hungarian-Polish-Slovakian) Thermoanalytical Conference (https://akcongress.com/jtacc/) with a presentation at topic "Thermal performance analysis of a heat pump assisted regenerative solar still". 

Following the success of Complex Planetary Sytems in 2014, CPSII aims to bring forward the latest findings obtained in that perspective and to generate new collaborations between different disciplines for the future. The CPSII symposium was dedicated to the topic “Complex Planetary Systems”, which was held at the Namur University (Belgium). In this meeting, each scientist offered his own experience in solving complex problems related to the topic of planetary systems.

At this symposium, was presented a poster, entitled “Investigation of the dynamic evolution of planetary systems with isotropically varying masses”, poster authors: M. Zh. Minglibayev, A. N. Prokopenya, A. B. Kosherbayeva.

Graduates of the 2022-2023 academic year successfully defended their dissertations with graduation works of about 100 bachelors and 8 undergraduates.

Annual conferences from the “Modern Stellar Astronomy” series have been organized since 2010 at various astronomical institutions in Russia. They provide a platform for astronomers working in this and related fields to meet and exchange views. This year the conference was organized by the Institute of Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow State University, M.V. Lomonosov (SAI, Faculty of Physics), Astronomical Society. The conference was held in the Volgograd city, at Volgograd State University (VolSU).

In Baku, the partner countries of the Geoclick project met and discussed the progress of the ongoing work.

On the basis of the memorandum concluded between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Institute of "KazMunayGas engineering", 4th year students of the Department of mechanics of the Faculty of mechanics and mathematics Eldoskyzy Kuralai and Kurumbayeva Nargiza passed production and pre - graduate practice at the Institute of "KazMunayGas engineering" in Astana.
