As part of the teaching practice of first-year master's students of the specialty "Mechanics and Energy" Mutalipova Kamila and Toktarova Aizhan held an open lesson for 2nd-year undergraduate students of the specialty "Mechanics" on the topic "Theater Etiquette". At the lecture, the etiquette of visiting the theater was discussed in detail, and brochures with brief instructions on the rules of conduct in public places were also distributed.

Today marks the 93rd anniversary of the birth of the statesman and public figure, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor, former rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, academician Omirbek Zholdasbekov.
In honor of this significant date, teachers and staff of the university, contemporaries, students, descendants of Omirbek Aryslanovich laid flowers at the monument of the statesman and public figure.

During the pedagogical practice, first-year doctoral students from the Mechanics Department organized a seminar titled "From Idea to Business," aimed at providing training to stimulate the development of student entrepreneurship and attract business representatives. At the seminar, business representatives Nurim Abdykalikov and Didar Boltaev gave first-year students from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics an understanding of modern business types and the challenges of its implementation.

In accordance with the order of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University dated January 24, 2024, No. 27, Professor Nuzhnov Yuri Vasilievich was awarded the medal of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University "EREN ENBEGI USHIN" on the occasion of his 75th anniversary for his contribution to the university's development.

From December 4 to December 26, 2023, Dr. Mohanraj Murugesan, a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology in India, will be delivering lectures on the topic "Different Applications of Compression Heat Pumps". This invitation comes at the request of Acting Professor Yerzhan Belyayev from the Department of Mechanics.

Dr. Yerzhan Belyayev, an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanics at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, has emerged victorious in the esteemed "Best Researcher 2023" competition, as declared by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the period of teaching practice, 1st year doctoral students of the Department of Mechanics A.Abekova, Zh.Aituganova and B.Merkibaeva, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), conducted an educational lesson on the topic “We are against tobacco.”
