On the basis of the memorandum concluded between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Institute of "KazMunayGas engineering", 4th year students of the Department of mechanics of the Faculty of mechanics and mathematics Eldoskyzy Kuralai and Kurumbayeva Nargiza passed production and pre - graduate practice at the Institute of "KazMunayGas engineering" in Astana.

During the practice, on the instructions of the production, Eldoskyzy Kuralai carried out scientific research on the topics: «Modeling the effects of ground cracking and undissolved polymer on the effectiveness of introducing a polymer mixture into a granular environment», and Kurumbayeva Nargiza – “Modeling the process of increasing oil production using CO₂ in oil reservoirs in Kazakhstan”.

The results of the study were reported on April 12, 2023 at the international scientific conference “Science and education-2023”, organized by the Gumilyov Eurasian National University as part of the day of Science, and students were awarded diplomas of the III degree. We are confident that the work to combine science and production will continue.
