Annual conferences from the “Modern Stellar Astronomy” series have been organized since 2010 at various astronomical institutions in Russia. They provide a platform for astronomers working in this and related fields to meet and exchange views. This year the conference was organized by the Institute of Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow State University, M.V. Lomonosov (SAI, Faculty of Physics), Astronomical Society. The conference was held in the Volgograd city, at Volgograd State University (VolSU).
At the conference, a report was made by Minglibayev M.Zh., entitled “The effect of variability in the mass of the central star on the evolution of the planetary system” co-authors of the report: Prokopenya A.N., Kosherbaeva A.B.
