December 5, 2017 in the Scientific Library of Al-Farabi KazNU held a master class on the topic: “Industrial and scientific chemistry: how will knowledge of chemistry in the future change?”. The organizers of the event are the Association “KazEnergy” and the company “Shell Kazakhstan”. For the speech at the master class were invited Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Chief Researcher of the Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences A.M.Skundin and corresponding member of RAS, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Deputy Director of the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry RAS K.Yu. Zhizhin. During the master class, the speakers shared their success stories, talked about how they had an interest in chemistry, recalled their first steps on the way to experimental and theoretical chemistry. After the master class, a meeting of speakers with scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology and the Center for Physical and Chemical Methods of Research and Analysis of Al-Farabi KazNU was held. It was noted the need to consolidate the efforts of scientists in the development of science, the strengthening of mutual scientific ties.
