From 27-29 March in 2019 XI National Olympiad in Chemical Tecnology and Chemistry took place at al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In this Olympiad participated undergraduate students from Karagandy, Shymkent, Semey, Pavlodar and Almaty. On second round undergraduate students team of Physical chemistry, catalysis and petrochemistry department called Oxygen won second place. Advisor of team Dr. Zhaksylykova G. Zh.
In 2019, on March 28-29, the XI Republican subject Olympiad of students between higher educational institutions by the specialty "5B072000-chemical technology of inorganic substances" was held in al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
From March 28 to March 29, 2019 at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University the Republican student subject Olympiad in the specialties “5В060600 – Chemistry”, “5В072000 – Chemical technology of inorganic substances” and “5В072100 – Chemical technology of organic substances”
7 teams participated in the specialty "5B060600 – Chemistry".
Results of the Olympiad in the individual championship
1. Tursun Kazbek Muratuly (al-Farabi Kazakh national University) was awarded the diploma of the Ministry of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the first degree);
2. Kernberg Nazir Dorenaz (al-Farabi Kazakh national University) was awarded the diploma of the Ministry of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, diploma of II degree award;
In honor of the 85th anniversary of KazNU, an outstanding scientist, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, professors of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry of the Faculty of Chemistry of Chemical Technology Kairbekov Zhaksyntay were awarded the Al-Farabi silver medal for their special contribution to the development of science. We wish you further successful life journey, the execution of the conceived, speedy realization of ambitious goals.
Associate Professor А.О. Adilbekova of the Department of Analytical, Colloid Chemistry and Technology of Rare Elements completed the training course on academic mobility in the framework of the Erasmus + program at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland on 18.03.2019 till 23.03.2019.
March 15, 2019, the University hosted a grand final of the traditional amateur art contest “Student Spring 2019”. As a result of the competition, in which students from 15 faculties took part, the students of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology took the Grand Prix. We congratulate our students and wish them success and further achievements!
