Within the framework of international cooperation of the research center of medicinal plants of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Xinjiang Technical Physical and Chemical Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences are opening a Kazakhstan-China Joint Laboratory for Drug Research.

The Joint laboratory is located in the Research Center of Medicinal Plants of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

With her husband, Pierre Curie, she devoted her life to studying the phenomenon of radioactivity, which was unknown until then. During the research work, such elements as radium and polonium were discovered. They worked in conditions of complete obscurity, having no idea what this new phenomenon is and how it will affect to their health and their environment. The result of their research work was the discovery of a new era in the life of mankind. In the modern world properties of radioactivity are used almost everywhere: medicine, science and technology. The whole world is already talking about nuclear energy, some with admiration, some with fear, but everyone has at least some idea about ​​the nuclear reactors, which one entered to our lives firmly and their role will only intensify.

As part of career guidance, teachers of the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry of KazNU named after Al-Farabi helps schoolchildren learn the basics of inorganic chemistry, and also helps to deal with difficult practical issues, including design tasks (pictured is a student of 10th grade at school No. 129 Antonenko Victoria).

On December 4, 2019, the curator-adviser of the Department of Chemical Physics and Materials Science Zh. Kudyarova and second-year undergraduates with a degree in «Chemical Technology of Explosives and Pyrotechnics», in the lobby of the 2nd floor of the House of Students No. 13 of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technology held an educational event on the topic «Kok tudyn zhelbіregenі» to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On October 17, 2019, first-year curators- advisers of the Department of Chemical Physics and Materials Science, together with their groups, visited the university’s large-scale event “Enrollment in Students”. October 10, 2019 the curators- advisers of the Department of Chemical Physics and Materials Science together with their students visited the Kazakh State Academic Theater for Children and Youth named after G. Musrepov and watched their performance “Gabit” within the framework of the program “100 books”. The presentation was about the repression of 38 years of the Kazakh intelligentsia and excerpts from the works of Uncle Gabit.

November 8, 2019 the curator- adviser of the Department of Chemical Physics and Materials Science M. Nazhypkyzy and second-year graduate students of the specialty "Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies" hosted an Open day of the department "Chemical Physics and Materials Science" in hostel No. 13 ".

 Professors and teachers of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University as well as PhD students of the "Petrochemistry" major visited the first day of the QS Forum 2019, which this year was held within the walls of KazNU. The establishment of international cooperation and the adoption of the experience of advanced educational institutions around the world is one of the priorities for our university and, in particular, the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology.
