ACADEMIC WEBINAR “SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIETY THROUGH SOCIAL TOURISM”
On April 15, 2021, an academic webinar was held on the theme "Sustainable development of society through social tourism", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of the Silk Road University Alliance.
The speakers of the webinar were:
- Daniel Serzhanuly, Director of the Event Management Department of JSC NC "Kazakh Tourism" - Social tourism in Kazakhstan.
- Hongjen Shiao Professor at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Co-editor-in-chief of Encyclopedia Tourism (Springer), Editor - in-chief of the Journal China Tourism Research (Routledge), Coordinator of the UNWTO/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Prospects-Tourism as a force in sustainable socio-cultural integrity and destination societies.
- Svetlana Stenyushkina Associate Professor of the Department of International Tourism and Hotel Business, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Head of the Department of Knowledge Quality of Belgorod State University-Social tourism: development trends and principles state regulation in the Russian Federation.
- David Lorant Professor, winner of the Jean Monnet program for professors, member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts - Tourism Ecology.
- Zhanna Asipova PhD-Social tourism in Kazakhstan: the overview of system and perspectives.
The webinar was successful. The topics and content of the reports were interesting and relevant. Professors from Kazakhstan, Russia, Hungary and Hong Kong shared with us the current state of social tourism.
