Youth symposium of the Pacific Asia Travel Association

On September 18, a youth symposium of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) was held on the topic "From beginning to end: how stories connect us." The symposium was organized by the PATA Human Capital Development Committee in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC "NC" Kazakh Tourism "and KAZGUU University named after M.S. Narikbaeva.

The speakers at the youth symposium were Kairat Sadvakasov; Talgat Narikbaev; Dr. Mario Hardy; Stephanie Wells; Vasil Khomko, creative producer and filmmaker; Jason Lin, Talent Basket Talent, and Rick Jean-Francois, ITB Corporate Social Responsibility Commissioner, Travel & Logistics Competence Center, ITB Berlin.

KazNU named after al-Farabi was represented by the following students of the specialty "Tourism": Gazizova Aliya, Zhanabaeva Perizat, Umurzakova Sabina, Raikhanov Zhamilya, Shcherbakova Kristina, Mukhitdin Aktolmash. The leader of the group was a senior lecturer Sakypbek Mereke.

Interviews with a 4th year student Perizat Zhanabaeva was noted in this publication. For 2-3 days, students visited the international PATA Travel Mart Exhibition, where they also met with business representatives from the Asia-Pacific region and Kazakhstan. This event allowed students to establish contacts and exchange experiences with students from Malaysia, India, Canada and other countries. At the end of the day, participants were awarded with certificates.
