How to identify a criminal? Andrei Semihodsky's lecture on genomic fingerprinting

On January 27, 2017 at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, a lecture was given by a well-known forensic expert, author of books and study aids, geneticist Andrei Semihodsky. Professor conducted an hour and a half lecture for second and third year students interested in forensic science and forensic medicine.

During the lecture Semihodsky shared with students cases from his practice, told them about the main advantages of DNA analysis and genomic fingerprinting in forensic science, new and classical methods used to identify criminals, he did not bypass the legal aspects.

The lecture was followed by a half-hour session of questions and answers.
