On January 29, 2024, the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a forum “Quality Assurance in the Field of Higher Education: Status and Development Prospects.” Heads of universities in Kazakhstan and representatives of universities involved as experts on government control measures were invited to the forum. Kanafyeva Shynar Erlanovna, senior lecturer at the Department of Middle East and South Asia, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, took part in the forum as an expert on state control. At the same time, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek made a report at the forum. EQAR President Stefan Levik, who took part in the online forum, shared his opinion on the education sector.
