Open Day at the Faculty of Oriental Studies

On January 24, 2024, an Open Day was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies. To attract as many students from all over the country as possible, this event was held on the Zoom platform, which was attended by about 150 students from more than a dozen schools in Kazakhstan. The conference began with a solemn speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Em N.B. Then a presentation about the faculty was presented from each department. 3rd year student Askar Akbota spoke in detail about the structure of the faculty, the educational programs taught at the faculty, 3rd year student Alexey Michkasov spoke about the international relations of the faculty and academic mobility. 3rd year student Tagybai Aisaule talked about the graduates of the faculty, and active students led by student dean Sagimbekov Aben presented a presentation about student life. The closing speech was made by Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Chinese Studies Kerimbaev E. A., who presented an informative report on the intricacies of Oriental studies for the participants of this online conference.

The online meeting, organized by the Faculty of Oriental Studies, was held at a high level. We hope that the information offered at this conference will benefit applicants in choosing their future profession.
