Winner of the International Essay Contest in Korean

On September 7, 2022, the International Essay Competition in Korean was held in Astana.
This competition was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Kazakhstan and is held regularly every year. This year students from different universities took part in the competition. Master student of the 1st year of the Department of the Far East of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Kaliyeva Gulden, under the guidance of inviting professor Lee Byong Jo, also took part and won the 3rd prize. The topic of the essay was "What do I associate Korea with?". The winners of the competition were awarded diplomas, cash prizes and gifts. Master student of the Department of the Far East Kalieva Gulden once again showed a high level of knowledge in the field of Korean studies, this achievement has become a good example for all participants in Korean studies.
