On October 27, 2022, a scientific conference was held at the Korean Education Center in Almaty under the Embassy of the Republic of Korea dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Korea on the topic “Achievements and prospects for teaching the Korean language in the New Northern Region”.
The event was organized by the Korean Education Center in Almaty and was held online and offline with the participation of speakers from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Professor of the Department of the Far East of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Lee Byоng Jo also acted as a speaker and made a presentation on the topic “Spread of the Korean language in Kazakhstan and employment plans for graduates”, which received a lot of feedback from the participants.
