At the beginning of the meeting, Paltore Yktiyar Moldatoreuly, who held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies from 2017 to 2022, made a speech, expressing his gratitude and appreciation to his colleagues and teachers with whom he worked together for the past five years. Further, on the instructions of Tuymebayev Zhanseit Kanseituly,   Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National Research University, Tassibekov Khaidar Suleimanovich appointed the head of the Far East Department, Yem Natalya Borisovna to the position of acting dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies from the current 2022-2023 academic year. In this regard, Tassibekov Khayidar Suleimanovich, as well as teachers and professors of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, congratulated Natalya Borisovna on her new position and wished her further successful work as a leader.

Yem Natalya Borisovna - candidate of historical sciences, associate professor, holder of the state grant "The best teacher of the university" MON RK, member of the scientific-expert group of Almaty city of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, member of the Presidium of the Association of Koreans of Kazakhstan. She has 20 years of teaching experience in higher education, including 15 years in an administrative position. She is the author of more than 60 scientific articles and three monographs on the topic of interethnic relations. Awarded with a letter from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2016), a medal named after Y. Altynsarin (2019), a medal "For meritorious service" (2019), anniversary medal of KazNU named after al-Farabi, anniversary medal of the Association of Koreans of Kazakhstan (2020).
