Every nation, people dreams and tries to be independent and fight for it by sacrificing themselves. This year will mark the thirtieth anniversary of country independence. Kazakhstan has become a secular country in its own right, having consolidated its borders. Thanks to the courage and heroism of the Kazakh youth, this independence became the fruit of a Great Victory. Thanks to the selfless spirit and courage of young people, we have become a state with great dreams and achievements.

Since independence, many States have recognized and supported our nation. Over the years, the country has achieved various successes. On 16 December 1991, Kazakhstan declared its independence, demarcated its borders and approved the state symbols. In the same year, the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site was closed, and in 1992 our country became a member of the UN. The country has moved from a planned to a market economy.

On 30 August 1995, a national referendum adopted the Constitution of Kazakhstani Republic. The Constitution, as the basic law of the country, reflects the will of Kazakhstani people, their desire to affirm the country «as a democratic, secular, legal and social State, whose supreme values are the individual, his life, rights and freedoms».

In 1997, the capital of our country was moved from Almaty to Akmola, where one of the most beautiful and majestic cities appeared on the sprawling Saryarka steppe. In subsequent years, Astana was renamed from Akmolinsk to Astana, in 2019 to Nur-Sultan.

In addition, the country has diplomatic ties with 182 countries of the world and exports more than 2,500 items to more than 100 countries. The mineral-rich country has been able to implement many large-scale projects. One is the launch of the Kashagan oil and gas field. In addition to oil and gas deposits, the country also produces deposits of gold, uranium, coal and other minerals. During the years of industrialization, 1250 enterprises and 300 thousand jobs were created. And in 2017, the international exhibition EXPO was held.

According to the strategic plan 2050 and 2030, many important projects have been implemented and have become one of the 50 most competitive countries in the world.

In many sports competitions and Olympiads, our athletes have won prizes and presented our state to the world. At the Olympic Games held in different countries, Kazakhstan's athletes took more than 70 prizes. In 2011, the VII Asian Winter Games were held in the cities of Astana and Almaty. The athletes who defended the honor of Kazakhstan won 70 medals.

We have many achievements in the field of education. Every year, schoolchildren and students of the country take prizes at international and World subject Olympiads. In accordance with the Decree of first President on November 5, 1993, the Bolashak International Scholarship was accepted. Within the framework of this program, from 1993 to 2017, about 12 thousand students were trained at leading foreign universities. Higher educational institutions of our country are also making great strides forward.

In order to improve the sphere of education and health care, 1,500 schools and 2,700 kindergartens, 1,312 health facilities were built under the "Road Map" program.

The successes of our country that have been achieved over 30 years of independence have not yet been fully named. We hope that over the years of independence, our achievements will grow and develop on a par with developed countries. Our history is full of successes and achievements. Today's lived day is the story of tomorrow. May our future be bright and full of achievements.
