“Small Farabi Academy” of the philosophy department of the faculty of philosophy and political science has started its activity in the academic year with the meeting with Askar Zhumadildayev, the famous scientist, public figure, doctor of physics and mathematical sciences, professor, academician of the National Academy of the Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The active participants of the meeting named “Youth and the science” were teachers and students of the university.

Teachers and students of the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism participated in the I Eurasian Conference on ski resorts, organized by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). The forum's theme "Development of new tourist destinations for Snow tourism". The participants discussed the state and prospects of development of the international market of ski tourism and sustainable development of this popular direction.

The students of group 115 of 1^st year of the Department of thermal physics and technical physics, Faculty of technical physics, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, together with their tutor adviser Kuikabayeva Aizhan Amangalievna actively took part in the preparation activities of Medeu skating rink opening ceremony.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) visited the Faculty of International Relations, the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi.

On September 26^th, in the Scientific and Technological Park Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi, the official opening of student innovation projects was held under the auspices of the "Energy young - the energy of the future."
