October 16, 2013 in the complex «Almaty Towers» VIII passed the Civil Forum "Green Economy - the choice of Almaty ". Forum devoted to the issue of "green economy", was held under the chairmanship of Akim of Almaty Esimov A.S. Exhibition on the introduction of a "green economy" was held is part of the Forum. The exhibition presented non-governmental organizations and government agencies.

Science and Technology Park helped to organize the exhibition. From the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. the following models were presented:

• "Development, production and experimental studies of the effectiveness of compact wind power " - the project manager Kunakbaev / Research Institute Mechanics;
• "Development of a hybrid plasma and radiation- cavitation- hydrogenation processing technology of low-grade thermal coal " - project managers ZH.K. Kairbekov, V.E. Messerle, A.I. Kupchishin / Research Institute of New Chemical Technologies and Materials;
• "Plant for the production of asphalt concrete mixtures of waste oil " - project managers Z.A. Mansurov, B.K. Tuleutayev, E.K. Ongarbaev / Institute .
