The purpose of the educational program is to train specialists in logistics and supply chain management in macrological systems to create a single economic space of flows: capital, goods, information, service and labor resources based on integration and innovative approaches in the context of globalization

Upon completion of this educational program, it is expected that students will be able to:

ON1: use for their professional purposes data from related sciences: linguistics, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, history and philosophy, taking into account socio-cultural differences between people in professional activities;

ON2: to navigate in the modern global world, showing multiculturalism and multilingualism, including: national and religious cultures, culture of thinking, psychotypes, communication through individual characteristics that set the vector of interaction, people who are different from each other and recognize each other;

ON3: to evaluate information about the current state and prospects for the development of scientific thought in the field of logistics and supply chain management from various databases using information, computer and network technologies for the study of professional tasks;

ON4: to present to the scientific community a publication on the subject of ongoing research using qualitative and quantitative measurement methods in logistics and standard application software packages;

ON5: design a company's logistics strategy depending on its corporate strategy, using a methodology for managing end-to-end flow processes based on the parameters of sustainable supply chains;

ON6 develop recommendations for the development of logistics infrastructure for cross-border cooperation, using the principles and methods of managing economic and human flows;

ON7: to systematize the main tasks of the business process controlling functionality in the context of globalization, based on the goals of end-user service based on the analysis and optimization of capital costs, inventory maintenance costs and risk-related costs;

ON8: coordinate the activities of supply chain participants to harmonize relationships during the transition from one link to another link of the chain, based on methods of personality development, organizational management mechanisms, methods of analysis of logistics costs with the identification of cost-effect dependence, risk management methods and management accounting model, SCOR model and controlling;

ON9: to develop mechanisms for making innovative and investment decisions in supply chain management based on logistics-oriented methods, research of the region as a territory, regional economy in the aspect of analysis and planning of the flow of flows, planning and design of the logistics infrastructure of the region;

ON10: evaluate all types of structural, logical and quantitative analysis of business processes to substantiate their potential in identifying bottlenecks based on inventory control and eliminating organizational risks and gaps in the management of global supply chains;

ON11: to set standards for key performance indicators of a focused supply chain company based on the feasibility of strategic benchmarking and the impact of the level of service, total operating and administrative costs, productivity of logistics infrastructure and personnel, inventory management on profit and revenue from sales and turnover of assets of the company;

ON12: develop programs and projects for the development of logistics infrastructure, evaluating investment decisions on it in terms of their impact on the capitalization and efficiency of the organization.

For the implementation of the educational program at the department there is a Center "Smart Marketing and Logistics".

Within the framework of the center, scientific schools are being developed, such as E-commerce in a pandemic, "Smart" Food Supply Chains, Logistics processes in a pandemic. The Center is aimed at improving the qualifications of teachers, expanding cooperation with employers, strengthening international collaboration with scientists from leading universities, attracting undergraduates and doctoral students to research activities, and commercializing scientific research. The Smart Marketing and Logistics Center is always open to promising and mutually beneficial proposals, both from the scientific community and from business and production.

On the basis of the Department of "Business Technologies" there is a student scientific circle "Logistics of the future". The circle is organized with the aim of improving scientific work with students and young scientists of the department, improving the quality of training qualified specialists to work in various sectors of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. As well as creating the necessary conditions for the formation and development of interest in scientific activity, support for talented young scientists and the formation of the country's human resources potential.
