Purpose

The purpose of the “Finance» educational program is to provide fundamental training for a new generation of financial specialists with deep scientific, pedagogical and practical knowledge, advanced skills in financial planning, analysis, modeling and forecasting using the achievements of modern IT technologies in the field of modern finance.

The program is aimed at the formation of a professional personality of a specialist capable of carrying out analytical, research and practical activities based on knowledge of the latest theories and cases in the field of modern finance; independently carry out scientific research and develop business projects in assessing the financial environment at the macro and micro levels; ensure the effectiveness of the educational process based on classical and innovative teaching methods; build your own program of further education and research activities.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this educational program, undergraduates are expected to be able to:

ON1 Use in practice a foreign language with the skills of collecting, processing information and participating in the informatization of the activities of the relevant in the professional sphere and other organizations in the field of finance.

ON2 Lead financial and economic departments in enterprises, organizations, companies, banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions; control the activities of financial and economic units of these organizations.

ON3 Apply the skills of public, business and scientific communications (presentations and negotiations) to solve communication problems; create a team of professionals, work effectively in teams, show creativity and initiative; convince and find compromise and alternative solutions.

ON4 Use the norms of legislation in the field of finance, banking system, insurance organizations, securities market, financial management. Apply and use the acquired economic knowledge in financial, monetary, insurance and credit institutions

ON5 Develop financial plans, business plans, investment and innovation projects for the creation and development of new organizations, enterprises, startups, as well as new financial products; evaluate the financial and social conditions for carrying out entrepreneurial activities in terms of financial efficiency, taking into account the analysis of financial risks of enterprises and financial institutions.

ON6 Apply creativity and initiative in assessing the financial environment for the globalization and internationalization of financial processes.

ON7 Apply extensive research using advanced information technology and apply the results to formulate strategic financial plans.

ON8 Simulate financial and investment projects to predict financial processes and phenomena, practical situations based on the study of the best domestic and foreign cases; interpret sustainable financial concepts and models to solve complex financial situations and problems.

EP 7M04127 "Finance" allows you to train undergraduates in taking into account the innovative opportunities created by the integration of production and science, and new challenges due to the modern requirements of the labor market, global and local requirements. Specialists in this area have innovative thinking, are able to think creatively and be creative in solving standard and non-standard micro and macroeconomic problems. Possess advanced information technologies, are able to independently expand knowledge, skills and abilities in professional activities at the level of micro- and macroeconomics, know a foreign language, have the skills of professional communication and intercultural communication, are able to work in a team and integrate into the conditions of world business, are ready to solve socially significant national and regional tasks.

The educational program in the specialty EP 7M04127 "Finance" - Finance passed the specialized accreditation of KAZSEE on June 18, 2021. 

According to the results of the IAAR and IQAA rating, the educational program takes the 2nd place of the PPA - the 2nd place.  

Bases of practice:  Department of State Revenues in Almaty, insurance companies, second-tier banks, enterprises and organizations of various organizational and legal forms.

The best modern educational methods are used in teaching, including: studying the best domestic and foreign cases, business games, trainings, as well as a combination of individual and team work. Representatives of employers are actively involved in the implementation of these forms of employment.
