Following the annual traditions, on October 6, 2018 the staff of the Department of Biophysics and Biomedicine together with students contributed to the autumn cleaning of the University territory. On a warm autumn day the staff of the Department with students conducted autumn cleaning works on the campus of KazNU.

Clean-up is one of the methods contributing to the rapprochement, strengthening and unification of the team. As well as clean-up allows employees (students) to get to know each other better outside of work (study). Everyone has long known that nothing helps to achieve a common goal as a cohesive team.

A bright event of the new academic year for freshmen - "Dedication to students" was held in the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
On a Grand student celebration came more than 7.5 thousand bachelor degrees of first-year, of which 6.6 thousand are the best graduates of schools that received state educational grants. A significant part of them are holders of the sign "Altyn belgi", winners of international and national competitions and contests. 

This record figure in the history of Kazakhstan's higher education indicates high confidence in the University, conscious and purposeful choice of students of the best University in the country for quality education.

September 4, students of the 1st year of specialty "5B060700-Biology" a tour of the Library of al-Farabi. During the tour, the library staff introduced students to the infrastructure and services of the KazNU Library. As well as the library staff were given full information about the rules of use of the library. Students were presented reading rooms and conference rooms, computer classes.

To date, the al-Farabi Library is a structural unit providing information and library services for educational, research processes. The largest University library in the country, which has about 3 million books.
