November 30, 2017, at the Department of Biophysics and Biomedicine held a festive concert program "El tiregi – Elbasy!", dedicated to the First President's Day! The purpose of the tour: to acquaint students with the diversity of flora and fauna of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to foster careful attitude towards nature, to increase knowledge of students in biology.

"EXPO-2017: a modernization breakthrough of Kazakhstan"

An international scientific-practical conference "EXPO-2017: a modernization breakthrough of Kazakhstan"  was held at  al-Farabi KazNU with participation of leading experts of the Kazakhstan Institute for strategic studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of government agencies, private companies, economists, sociologists, graduate and doctoral students.
