Relations Department

At the Department of International Relations, a meeting was held with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan Mr. Ole Bjorny. The Norwegian delegation was also represented by the Deputy Director of the Section for Russia, Eurasia and Regional Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway, Mrs. Helene Sand Anderesen.

During the meeting, the issues of development of Scandinavian direction in educational and research programs, interuniversity cooperation, including academic mobility programs, as well as cooperation with research centers in Norway were discussed.

Mr. Ole noted the importance of the faculty of international relations of KazNU in the context of the training of diplomatic personnel of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Ambassador also thanked the faculty management for the "Ambassador's hour", of which he had been a direct participant in previous years and expressed the hope for an early visit for students in common.
