CASE COMPETITION IN INTERNATIONAL STUDIES TO BE HELD AT THE UN CENTER

The first case competition among students will be held with efforts of the UN Center (210 aud.) at the Faculty of International Relations of the al-Farabi KazNU on April 10th, 12:00 p.m.

The Case competition in International Studies is a unique opportunity for students to try themselves in the role of politicians right now! The practice of applying cases is widely distributed in the leading universities of the world, that gives a good opportunity to understand the nuances of solving pressing issues at the global level on a concrete example! What advantages students take by participating in the case competition?

1. Students will be offered to learn a real case developed by leading professors from Harvard University;

2. The case will cover certain topic in international relations, what will nurture your background in this field;

3. It’s a fascinating chance to strengthen skills like critical thinking, public speaking, as well as working in a team with fellow students and leading experts in the field of the country!

Students will be divided into teams and receive a case prior to the competition. The case will cover one of the spheres in international relations. External experts will mentor each of the teams to help students get deeper sense of the subject and contribute to an effective solution of the case. As soon as you present your solutions, the jury will give its feedback on how well the job was done. The event will conclude with certificate giving ceremony.
