A round table dedicated to the activities of the public foundation "Qazaqstan Halqyna" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. 

Currently, one of the main problems is the lack of building materials of domestic production. Since the construction industry in Kazakhstan is gradually developing, it needs comprehensive state support. At the same time, there are a number of problems, such as the development and implementation of competitive innovative products by industrial enterprises, the development of production of import-substituting products, reducing production costs and increasing the scale of production.

Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with a delegation of ZTE Corporation headed by CEO of ZTE Business Development in the CIS countries Wei Wei. The parties discussed further cooperation in the field of digital transformation and expressed their willingness to work out directions for the development of innovative technologies.

At the regular session of the Academic Council, the Program of Transformation of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University into a research university for the 2022-2023 academic year was discussed, proposing specific measures for its implementation.

The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University celebrated the 90^th anniversary of Professor, Doctor of Philology, laureate of the prize named after I. Altynsarin and Zh. Zhabayev, Sultangali Sadyrbayev.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and representatives of Cambridge University plan to develop cooperation in the field of science and education. Dr. Siddharth S. Saxena, a senior researcher at the Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, and Chokan Laumulin, a graduate of KazNU who defended his doctoral thesis at the University of Cambridge, paid an official visit to Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The III International conference "Creative heritage and teaching of Abai Kunanbayev" dedicated to the Day of Abai was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. It was attended by literary critics, scientists of research institutes, doctoral students, undergraduates and media representatives. The scientific event was dedicated to the modern view of the creative heritage and teaching of the great poet of our nation Abai Kunanbayev.

A pilot educational program of applied Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering is launched for the first time at the Faculty of Information Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Comprehensive archaeological research is being conducted for the first time under the guidance of archaeologists of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the Ayagoz district of the Abai region.
