A round table dedicated to the activities of the public foundation "Qazaqstan Halqyna" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The meeting was attended by Deputy Akim of Almaty Arman Kyrykbayev, Chairman of the Board of “Qazaqstan Halqyna” Bolat Zhamishev, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, representatives of the deputy corps, universities, public councils, entrepreneurs, members of non-governmental and youth organizations.

Chairman of the Board of the "Qazaqstan Halqyna" Bolat Zhamishev presented the goals and objectives of the foundation and introduced the projects of the fund to the participants of the round table. "I want to tell you about the educational program of the "Qazaqstan Halqyna". We have increased the number of grants for applicants from low-income families. As a result, 10 grants were allocated for 85 universities. In addition, 1,500 grants and scholarships will be allocated through the NGO "Taiburyl", – Bolat Zhamishev noted.

During the meeting, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev stated that higher educational institutions would also participate in solving urgent problems of society. "I am sure that today's round table will contribute to solving existing problems. We will not stand aside either. As the leading university in the country, we will announce and offer our recommendations," the rector of the university claimed.

At the end of the event, a memorandum was signed between the Akimat of Almaty and the Public Foundation “Qazaqstan Halqyna” about long-term cooperation.
