Akim of Almaty Bakytzhan Sagintayev has met with students of the city at Al-Farabi KazNU.

Master student of the Department of Mechanics of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of Al-Farabi KazNU Zarina Turtayeva is a laureate of the Abai-Vern scholarship program for doctoral students.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a meeting with representatives of Shanghai Transport University, headed by the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Mr. Cheng Zhou, who proposed to the leadership of KazNU to implement a number of joint programs in the scientific and educational field.

The photo exhibition «Kieli Altai», dedicated to the state program «Rukhani Zhangiru» was opened at Al-Farabi KazNU. It was organized by the Faculty of Journalism and the public association «PhotoOner». The photo exhibition was opened by the Chairman of the public association «Photo Oner» Asylkhan Abdraimuly, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Sagatbek Medeubekuly, Chairman of the «Altai» Ethno-Photographic Society of the People’s Republic of China Serik Mukushuly, member of the «Altai» ethno-photographic society of the People’s Republic of China Ekpin Khasenzhan and professional photographer Ongarbek Alkharov.

Al-Farabi KazNU aims to enter the top best universities in the world. «The leading universities of the world, shaping human capital and being the growth points of the innovative economy, determine the development of their countries and entire regions», - said Rector of the University, Academician Galym Mutanov at an annual reporting meeting to the public.

Al-Farabi KazNU hosted a festival of Korean national games, in which students of Seoul National University, the University of Korea, the Korean Studies Department of the Department of the Far East took part.

For the first time in Almaty, Islamic Finance Day was held at the Center for Islamic Finance of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The training seminar was organized in cooperation with the Astana International Financial Center as part of the Islamic Finance Week in Kazakhstan.

Senior Lecturer of the Department of the Far East Asiya Nurelova won a grant from the 2019 International Japan Fundation.

A meeting with a representative of the MIAS Business School of the Czech Technical University in Prague was held at the Higher School of Economics and Business.

The delegation led by the Honorary President of the Conference of Hungarian Rectors, Dr. Gabor Kesteli-Szabo has visited Al-Farabi KazNU.
