Senior Lecturer of the Department of the Far East Asiya Nurelova won a grant from the 2019 International Japan Fundation.

From June 24 to August 8, Asiya Nurelova, Senior Teacher of the Division of Japanese Studies of the Department of the Far East, took a course on the methodology of teaching the Japanese language at the Institute of Japanese Language in Urava.

This new program of Japan Foundation aimed at improving the teaching of Japanese throughout the world. This year for the first time 36 teachers from 24 countries took part in it.

Throughout the course, students were given the opportunity to participate in training seminars with teachers of the Japanese Language Institute, and shared their experiences in teaching Japanese. They also visited the municipal school for senior classes in Saitama, held a Workshop with the teachers of this school, then an informative meeting was organized with the students.

The program of the Fund included cognitive and cultural events about Japan, city tours of Tokyo, a visit to the Kabuki Theater, as well as a ceremony of dressing in national clothes - kimono.

At the end of the program, participants were awarded Certificates.
