The Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling enters the new academic year with good news and ambitious plans. This year, 98 new students joined us, including 85 bachelors, 11 undergraduates and 2 doctoral students. We are proud that our educational programs attract talented young people who are ready to study modern technologies and scientific approaches in mathematical and computer modeling.

The department offers two popular educational programs:

• 6B06105 — Mathematical and computer modeling. The program is aimed at training specialists who are able to develop and optimize mathematical models for solving scientific and engineering problems.
• 6B05405 — Applied and Computational Mathematics. The program trains specialists to solve practical problems using modern mathematical methods and information technologies.

Separately, I would like to note that the program "Applied and Computational Mathematics" was successfully opened last academic year, and now the second set of students will study this promising specialty.
