EP purpose
|
To provide training for competitive, tolerant and competent professionals with a high level of scientific religious culture and public consciousness, fundamental knowledge in the field of Islamic studies, who are able to formulate production tasks in a professional language and solve them with the help of modern technologies; who have an active citizenship based on the ideas of peace, goodness and justice. The educational program is aimed at training and strengthening the body of competitive Islamic scholars-undergraduates with modern elite higher education, instilling in them the achievements of human culture and spiritual and moral values and raising the level of their conscious participation in the creation and strengthening of multi-confessional kazakhstani society.

Educational outcome

- To determine the nature and specificity of modern Islamic studies problems and analyze the importance of religious and Islamic phenomena in modern society, as well as to identify the role of Islamic studies in modern integration processes;
- To apply professional skills on the main modern concepts of world and Kazakhstan Islamic studies, to know their main representatives, schools and directions, to be guided in conceptual differences between them, and also in the content of Islamic discussions of the present;
- Formulate and solve problems arising in the course of research activities that require in-depth professional knowledge;
- To identify common and specific features in various concepts of man, developed in ancient, national and world religions, as well as to navigate in the basic paradigms of modern Islamic doctrine;
- Select the necessary research methods, modify existing and develop new methods based on the objectives of a particular study.
- To analyze Islamic, religious, philosophical, socio-political and scientific literature on the basis of scientific analysis of social, economic, spiritual and cultural development trends;
- To evaluate from the perspective of academic Islamic studies the phenomenon of Islamic experience in various national traditions;
- Present the results of the work done in the form of reports, abstracts, articles, designed in accordance with the existing requirements, with the involvement of modern editing tools;
- Use professional knowledge in the field of teaching methods of Islamic studies, the history of Kazakhstan and foreign Islamic studies;
- To interpret aspects of specific features of Islamic and religious-philosophical thought of the West and the East, in particular, in the comparative aspect, Islamic and religious philosophy, analysis of sacred texts of Islam;
- Advise, process and provide materials about Islam to the media, state organizations of various profiles, public organizations, commercial and non-commercial structures;
- To participate in the development of scientific projects in the field of Islamic studies that require competence, professional knowledge and skills in the relevant direction.
