EP purpose
|
Preparation of scientific and pedagogical personnel competitive in the domestic and international labor market in accordance with their needs and development prospects of the country and region. The program is aimed at the formation of a professional personality specialist who is able to:
- to interpret and summarize the deep modern knowledge of demographic theories, methods of collecting and analyzing demographic data;
- independently carry out research;
- integrate the knowledge of related scientific areas in the context of their own scientific research;
- ensure the effectiveness of the educational process on the basis of classical and innovative teaching methods;
- build your own program for further training and research activities.

Educational outcome

- to synthesize sociological theories to interpret demographic phenomena, apply social measurement procedures using statistical methods and methodological techniques for obtaining empirical data on the state of socio-demographic processes;
- to apply the learned scientific methods of collecting demographic information, use geoinformation methods, mathematical modeling to assess the design of research on socio-demographic processes, develop the highest social values with a specialist when assessing social problems of inequality, value orientations of youth, taking into account the national priorities of Kazakhstan;
- to analyze and interpret data of domestic and foreign statistics on social structure and demographic changes, conduct statistical analysis of demographic data using application packages (SPSS, Stata) to identify trends in sociological indicators;
- to design and implement lecture, seminar, practical, laboratory classes using the requirements of developed and approved guidelines with the use of basic theoretical models, quantitative and qualitative methods for analysis and forecasting of modern trends in migration processes;
- to make and evaluate models using latent signs, analyze the results of calculations and substantiate the findings, be willing to act in unusual situations, to bear social and ethical responsibility for the decisions made;
- to apply the learned scientific methods of collecting demographic information, use geoinformation methods, mathematical modeling to assess the design of research on socio-demographic processes, develop the highest social values with a specialist when assessing social problems of inequality, value orientations of youth, taking into account the national priorities of Kazakhstan;
- critically evaluate the modern social and cultural reality, analyze the experience of the youth movement, the social responsibility of leaders, the current state and ways of formation and development;
- to analyze and assess the sociological studies of the value-normative structure of the modern Kazakhstan society, the ethnocultural aspects of social inequality, poverty and wealth, the middle class, to develop a methodology for our own research of certain aspects of these phenomena;
- to compare the individual provisions of the concepts and theories applicable to the study of value standards and regulations of modern society, analyze the completeness and quality of existing demographic information, in particular, assess the degree of reliability of data obtained as a result of population censuses and completeness of data on natural movement of population;
- to classify and compare various methodological approaches to the study of modern social phenomena and processes, the possibility of their application in their own research, develop a research methodology and formulate practical tasks arising in the course of scientific research;
- to synthesize the priorities and goals of modern social policy, propose ways to achieve them taking into account the criteria of socio-economic efficiency, risk assessment, forecast macro-and micro-social, migration phenomena and processes and their socio-demographic consequences;
- to participate in projects and implement independent analytical work, developing skills of international cooperation, plan and implement independent original projects, including with the aim of commercializing the results, and present the obtained data and scientific achievements to colleagues and the scientific community
