Purpose

The purpose of the educational program is the high-quality training of specialists capable of working professionally in the real sector of the economy. The implementation of the educational program is aimed at formation of personality of a specialist capable of:

- to plan, create and conduct business and entrepreneurial activities in various fields, including in a virtual environment of the economy;

- to effectively manage the business processes of the enterprise and entrepreneurial risks based on the use of information and communication technologies;

- to evaluate the economic efficiency of the resources used, the financial stability and competitiveness of the enterprise and the economy as a whole;

- to conduct a qualitative analysis of the economic activity of economic entities, on the basis of this to substantiate the rationality of the decisions made in the framework of ​​the state's economic policy;

- to use economic and mathematical modeling and econometric analysis to assess changes in economic processes at the micro and macro levels;

- to assess the surrounding reality on the basis of ideological, moral and civic positions and to propose new solutions to modern economic problems, to demonstrate proficiency in foreign languages ​​at a professional level.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this educational program, students are expected to be able to:

1. professionally operate with economic categories in practice; distinguish between the stages of the economic cycle and interpret the behavior of economic actors in them; to illustrate graphically the action of market laws in economic models and theories;

2. calculate the main indicators of the functioning of the economy, interpret their role in the system of national accounts of the country; classify databases and models for the analysis of economic processes at the macro, meso and micro levels; substantiate the possibility of applying advanced models of economic growth for Kazakhstan;

3. formulate an algorithm for the behavior of economic agents in various markets; classify risks and changes in their activities and substantiate methods for their assessment; interpret the main performance indicators of the enterprise in the industry and regions of Kazakhstan; substantiate the instruments of economic policy in the models of economic growth;

4. argue the use of quantitative and qualitative methods to solve complex economic problems; practice mathematical and econometric models in professional activities; integrate effective software into the activities of market entities; substantiate the use of new technologies to improve the efficiency of business processes at the enterprise;

5. form a statistical database for the analysis of economic processes at enterprises; practice the use of EViews, Stata, MS Excel for data analysis and, based on the findings and results, assess the main trends in the development of industries, regions and the economy as a whole;

6. form the initial data for the economic plans of enterprises; recommend the main methods of obtaining, storing and processing information to ensure the economic security of enterprises; develop models of rational solutions for the enterprise based on various project management methods (PMI, IPMA and PRINCE2);

7. analyze the causes and consequences of global economic cycles; compare the effectiveness of stabilization policy instruments for assessing economic shocks; apply the AD-AS and IS-LM models to analyze the macroeconomic processes in the country; substantiate the policy of the National Bank and the government of the republic in solving macroeconomic problems;

8. analyze the structure of the main and current assets of the enterprise; calculate the consumption rates of materials, assess the company's need for them; to distinguish between indicators of efficiency of labor and production assets; choose strategies for pricing and investment in the market for an enterprise, evaluate their effectiveness;

9. draw up the production program of the enterprise, calculate its estimate; analyze information in the company's reporting, practice the skills of financial and economic calculations in Excel; use the results obtained during the analysis and evaluation for making effective decisions; evaluate the factors of competitiveness of the enterprise and the economy as a whole;

10. evaluate existing business processes, propose models of their transformation into new ones to increase the efficiency of the enterprise; predict new decisions about the distribution of resources, processes and risks in the enterprise; analyze real problems of business and economic policy, relying on the skills of working with the programs EViews and Stata;

11. substantiate the legal framework governing the activities of economic entities; practice standard techniques, standards and norms of legislation in the analysis of their activities; analyze the legal and economic aspects of creating your own enterprise; assess entrepreneurial risks and financial stability of the enterprise;

12. professionally carry out their activities, evaluate the effective areas of application of their knowledge, information and communication skills; independently collect information from various sources; organize teamwork, take into account socio-cultural differences between people in professional activities; quickly adapt to non-standard work-related situations.
