On April 17, 2024, within the framework of SDG 4, the Faculty of International Relations of al-Farabi KazNU held an open lecture on "Evidence and evidence in civil proceedings". The lecture was delivered by a specially invited guest, lawyer of the Almaty Regional College of Advocates Alenov Abdrakhman Amiradinovych.

During the lecture, Abdrakhman Amiradinovych told in detail about his experience when considering civil cases. He noted what materials and documents are considered evidence, how evidence can be secured, and what is not considered evidence. According to the lawyer, every piece of evidence in the court is of great importance, but it is even more important to compare all the pieces of evidence and evaluate the positions of the two parties. Experience shows that it is possible to lose a case if you have weighty evidence, and vice versa.

Alenov Abdrahman emphasized to the students the need to carefully study all court materials and carefully choose words when speaking at the trial, as well as always observe legal ethics. Also, the lawyer gave interesting examples from his experience, such as what statements are considered defamatory, and how it is possible to prove defamation in court.

Students were interested in the comparative analysis of evidence and evidence in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United States of America. Based on this, Abdrakhman Amiradinovych expressed his opinion and suggestions for improving the domestic judicial system.

International law students of the 2-3 courses of the Faculty of International Relations, who took part in the lecture, asked the lecturer questions about legal assistance in securing evidence from other states, as well as how it is possible to add telephone correspondence or postal messages to the case as evidence.

At the end of the lecture, the leadership of the International law department al-Farabi KazNU thanked Alenov Abdrahman Amiradinovich and wished him creative success.
