Prevention of domestic violence in the family

On March 14, 2024, at the Faculty of International Relations, as part of the achievements of SDG 16, a round table was held on the topic: “Prevention of domestic violence in the family.” Organizers: PhD doctor Baimagambetova Z.M., 1st year undergraduates of the OP “International Law”: Kanatkyzy Zhuldyz, Tursunbekov Sanzhar.

The purpose of the event: spiritual and moral education of students, strengthening the institution of family values, increasing legal literacy, creating zero tolerance in society in countering domestic violence in the family.

The event was attended by teaching staff of the Department of International Law, undergraduates, students of the OP “International Law”.

Opening remarks were made by: Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Doctor PhD Delovarova L.F., Head of the Department of International Law Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor Sairambaeva Zh.T., who noted the importance of strengthening spiritual education, legal literacy of students, increasing the effectiveness of measures in combating domestic violence in the family.

     Students Bakytbekova Malika, Doktorovich Alisa, Mutalipova Dilnara made presentations “The role and responsibility of students in preventing domestic violence”, “Responsibility for domestic violence under the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign countries”.
During the discussion, the invited guests shared their practical experience - Deputy Director of the Zhan-Saya crisis center of the Almaty Department of Employment and Social Programs - Tatyana Anatolyevna Mido, psychologist of the Zhan-Saya crisis center of the Almaty Department of Employment and Social Programs - Gulshara Saparova Maratovna, psychologist, international class trainer - Dmitry Sergeevich Loboda.
      The event was interesting, participants asked questions, expressed their points of view, and solved practical cases.
      Based on the results of the round table, participants proposed recommendations for strengthening the prevention of domestic violence in the family.
