On February 15, 2024, on the Zoom platform, the Department of International Law held a scientific seminar on the topic: “Selecting the optimal methodology for ensuring the protection of personal data”.

Bisaliyev Marlen, 3rd year doctoral student, presented the results of the main provisions of the dissertation research: “International legal aspects of the protection of personal information in the global and national information space.”

Master's students, doctoral students, and teaching staff from the Department of International Law took part in the discussion of the issues of the scientific seminar.

The event was organized within the framework of achieving SDG No. 16 “Peace, justice and effective institutions” to raise awareness and legal support for the protection of personal data, promote a culture of digital rights of citizens, study foreign experience in the field of personal data protection, and improve the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
