At the Department of International Law, a methodological seminar was held on the topic: “Practical training as the main part of professional education,” to which teachers and the head of the international holding company “Kazakhholding” - Duman Bazarbekov were invited. During the event, issues related to the preparation of students and their readiness to compete in the labor market were discussed. Bazarbekov shared his opinion on the level of preparedness of graduates, emphasizing their psychological readiness to work with government agencies, handle documentation, as well as public speaking skills and defending their own point of view.
Duman Bazarbekov put forward the proposal that at the present stage it is extremely important that teachers and graduates work together on student-centered education, which is a key event for discussing and introducing modern teaching methods that meet the needs of students and the requirements of the modern labor market.
Bazarbekov emphasized that cooperation between employers and teachers of the department is an integral part of effectively preparing students for professional life. He expressed the belief that it is important not only to provide students with theoretical knowledge, but also to develop the practical skills necessary for a successful career in the international field.
The seminar continued with a discussion of specific steps to introduce student-centered methods into the educational process. Bazarbekov proposed the creation of partnership programs, internships and master classes with the participation of representatives of the business sector. Such initiatives can provide students with a deeper understanding of labor market demands and connect their learning experiences with real-world practice.
He also emphasized the importance of developing communication, leadership and time management skills in students, as these qualities become key to a successful professional career. Bazarbekov called on the department’s teachers to actively interact with enterprises in order to take into account current trends in the international sphere and develop relevant competencies in students.
Thus, the methodological seminar became not only a platform for dialogue about the current training of students, but also an incentive for the development and implementation of innovative teaching methods that contribute to the formation of qualified and in-demand specialists in the international labor market.
