At Al-Farabi Kazakh National University a seminar was held on "Information Systems of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Accounts of the Office of the Procurator-General of the Republic of Kazakhstan" for students of "International Law" program.

During the event the functionality and features of the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigation, which contains information about the reasons for initiating a pre-trial investigation, procedural decisions taken on them, actions taken, the movement of criminal proceedings, applicants and participants in the criminal process, were demonstrated. The students were also introduced to the module "Electronic criminal file", designed to maintain the criminal file in electronic format.

At the same time, they were shown the features of the "Criminal Offences Map" internet portal, which is a map of the Republic of Kazakhstan with statistical data on criminal offences. The portal made it possible to see the state of crime online for the period of interest. The system makes it possible for any citizen to find out where crimes have been committed. The use of this interactive map allows not only police officers to analyse the state of criminality, but also citizens to have information about the state of crime in their places of residence or work.

The seminar was informative and informative, with a lively discussion. The students received answers to their questions.
