Students of the International Law Department visited the M.Auezov theater

Fourth-year students of the International Law Department of the Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University went to the premiere of the performance "Qaragoz" in the Kazakh National Drama Theatre named after M. Auezov.
The premiere of the tragedy "Qaragoz" coincided with the opening of the 97th season of the theater. Welcoming speech for the opening of the season was given to Kazakh actor, director, screenwriter, People's Artist of the USSR and the Kazakh SSR A.Ashimov. Also present were T.Zhamankulov, N.Myshbaeva, B.Turys, A.Satybaldy, D.Akmolda and many other actors of the theater.
The performance was based on the tragedy "Qaragoz" by outstanding writer M.Auezov. The play tells the story of unhappy love of KQaragoz girl to her cousin Syrym akyn. The family is against such an alliance. The young man becomes an outcast in his native village, and the girl is given in marriage to another. Unable to bear the separation with his beloved, Qaragoz loses his sanity and dies. Each is left with his own truth and defeated. The play, which looks deeply into the human soul, raises many difficult questions that have relevance even in modern times.
