On November 26, 2022, second-year students of the Kazakh and Russian departments of the OP "International Law" under the guidance of Associate Professor K.Altayeva visited the SOS Children's Village orphanage. The students set a table for hundreds of children and presented many different toys. For raising the mood of the children and holding a charity event, the administration of the orphanage expressed great gratitude and wished the students and the teacher success in their studies.

November 3, 2022 held a round table on "Secularism and Islam in the modern state," organized by the Department of International Law together with the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies.At the round table were invited faculty lecturers, doctoral students, undergraduates and students.

The moderator of the round table was associate professor G.A. Mashimbayeva. Welcoming remarks were made by Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Zhekenov D.K. and Head of the Department of International Law Sairambaeva Zh.T.

On October 26, 2022, Professor of Law, Dean of the Penn State Law Stephen Barnes visited the Faculty of International Relations of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

October 20, 2022 held a round table dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan: "The Day of the Republic - the first step of the country on the road to independence. The round table was organized by the Department of International Law at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The main purpose of the round table was to get acquainted with the holiday "Day of the Republic", which occupies an important place in the history of Kazakhstan, as well as to discuss the main stages of development of Kazakhstan, the path to become a united and sovereign republic.At the round table were invited professors and lecturers, doctoral students, undergraduates and students.The moderator of the round table was the head of the International law department, Associate Professor Sairambaeva Zh.T. and the organizer, PhD, Associate Professor Baimagambetova Z.M. With welcoming speech to the participants of the round table addressed the Dean of the International relations faculty, PhD, Associate Professor Jekenov Duman Kurmangazievich, noting the importance of celebrating the national holiday.

Great interest was aroused by the speech of the invited guests - Doctor of Law, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Sabikenov Salahiden Nursarievich. He shared his practical experience, discussed the importance of celebrating the Day of the Republic, the main achievements of the country during the years of independence, the issues aimed at maintaining stability in society. In addition, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honorary Academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan, Director of the "G-global" Shakirov Karimzhan Nurumovich, Doctor of Law, Professor Aidarbayev Sagyngali Zholamanovich, candidate of law, associate professor Samaldikov Maksut Kushekovich discussed legal aspects of the legal system of Kazakhstan in the context of current political and legal events in society and the state, as well as noted the need to promote the interests of Kazakhstan in the international arena.

On October 18, 2022 at the faculty of international relations had a meeting of students and lecturers of international law with representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). 

Professor Pierre Chabal from the University of Le Havre (France) visited the Department of International Law of the Faculty of International Relations.

Fourth-year students of the International Law Department of the Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University went to the premiere of the performance "Qaragoz" in the Kazakh National Drama Theatre named after M. Auezov.

On September 8, 2022, a student round table on the topic was held at the Department of International Law: «Reboot of Public Administration» in the light of the Address of the Head of State K-J.K.Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan «A fair state. One nation. Prosperous Society» dated September 1, 2022.

On April 30, 2022 the Department of International Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University conducted the Republican Subject Olympiad of "International Law"-2022. 28 students from 10 Kazakhstan universities took part in the Olympiad, such as University "Turan-Astana", Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai, L.N. Gumilev ENU, Buketov Karaganda University, E.A. Buketov, Yasawi MKTU, SDU, KazUMOiMYa, UIB, KIMEP and Turan.

Today the Chairman of the Board - Rector of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Kanseituly Tuymebayev awarded the winners of the traditional annual International Scientific Conference among students and young scientists "FARABI ALEMI", which was held from 4 to 15 April 2022.
