On March 17, 2023, the celebration of Nauryz was held at the Higher School of Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine and Health of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Nauryz is an ancient spring holiday. Great Nauryz unites all the multinational people of our country under its festive "shanyrak"! Our "Shanyrak" united students from 36 countries of the world, teachers of the GSOM FMiZ and our guests. The holiday began with a traditional parting word for young people - baht and a cheerful, bright concert. The program of the concert featured our medical students who presented their countries and cultures: Kazakh songs and Kara Zhorga dance, which was joined by everyone at the celebration a student from Pakistan performed a Pakistani song, and students from India presented an Indian song and an incendiary Indian dance! The traditional Turkmen dance of students from Turkmenistan continued the program of the concert, which ended with a Kazakh song. Students and teachers dressed in traditional costumes, among which were Kazakh, Turkmen, Afghan, Korean, Pakistani, Sudanese, Mongolian, Jordanian, Indian costumes, took part in the competition of national costumes! Poster competition about the cultures of the people celebrating Nauryz, the traditional rite "Tusau kese", games, a competition for the best table and, of course, delicious treats: festive tables from departments, student associations, the student association "Quasar"! Joy, fun, unity of different cultures reflected the true spirit of the Nauryz holiday at the Higher School of Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine and Health on this day! Happy Nayruz!
