At the moment, the staff of the department is implementing 4 scientific and technical grant funding programs of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (formerly MES RK) 2022-2024:

• AP14870089 "Development of molecular diagnostics of women's reproductive health disorders", supervisor - Kurmanova A.M.;
• AP14869249 "Clinical, genomic and ecological approaches to the study of preterm birth", supervisor - Zhurabekova G.A., Associate Professor of the Department of Fundamental Medicine. During the implementation of the project, predictor factors (biological, psychological, social and environmental) of spontaneous preterm birth in women living in the territories of three environmentally disadvantaged regions of Kazakhstan will be identified.
• AP14972889 Study of genetic-infectious mutual influence in the genesis of spontaneous preterm birth, performed by Berdalinova A.K., supervisor - Zhurabekova G.A. women living in the Aktobe region, the relationship between genomic polymorphism and placental changes in pregnant women with preterm birth will be determined. Morphological criteria will be presented - cellular tissue markers that are characteristic of infectious exposure during pregnancy leading to premature birth.
• AP13268305 "Development of an ameliorant based on low-grade coal and coal solubilizing bacteria to improve the efficiency of saline soil reclamation." The project is carried out within the framework of grant funding for young scientists under the ZHAS GALYM project. Performer - Tagaev K.Zh.

• Kuanysh Tastambek is a member of the research group of the NTP "Study of Kazakhstani low-grade coals for their potential for biogenic conversion into methane, implementation period 2021-2023." Project Objective: To introduce a new approach with a strategy to move from a laboratory to a large-scale assessment of the potential for biogenic conversion of coal to methane of Kazakhstan's low-grade (lignite and sub-bituminous) coals. • Malik Azhar Malikkyzy STP MES RK - Member of the research group IRN: AP09258285 "Obtaining bioethanol by continuous fermentation of whey using immobilized yeast cells." Head of research, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor A.A. Zhubanov 2020-2023 Al-Farabi KazNU.

• Zh.Mussazhanova a member of the research group of the international project: Clinicopathological characterization of thyroid papillary carcinoma in autoimmune thyroiditis 2021-2024 Semey Medical University, Kazakhstan and Nagasaki University, Japan.
• Zhalimbetova Zh.N. participates in the PTF project of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan BR18574139 "Formation of an integrated system for training highly qualified athletes and a promising Olympic reserve for priority sports for Kazakhstan based on a physiological and genetic assessment" together with the Research Institute of Genetics and Physiology.
