On March 3, in the Kaznu Library, the grand opening of the student organization "QUAZAR" was held with the support of the Higher School of Medicine and the Faculty of Medicine and Health. The goals of this organization are:

1. Improve student academic and social life.

2. To unite different nationalities into a harmonious whole.

3. Provide a platform to discuss issues.

4. To provide an opportunity for better communication between GSOM students and other medical universities in the world.

5. Provide a platform for the dissemination of important academic resources and knowledge.

6. Promote interesting events such as sports tournaments, Model United Nations, food festivals, medical knowledge tournaments, adventure trips, clinical camps, etc.

7. Represent the School of Medicine and our faculty at various national and international events.

On May 27-30, 2021, for the first time in the CIS and post-Soviet countries, the XXVII International Symposium of Morphological Sciences ISMS 2021 "Cell, tissue, organs - experience, innovation and progress" was held. The organizers were the Higher School of Medicine, the Department of Fundamental Medicine. The symposium was held online, taking into account the situation with covid-19.
