On November 14, 2024, the Department of Publishing, Editorial and Design Art of the Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is holding an international scientific and practical conference on the topic "Problems of national Book Studies: History and modernity", dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the birth of Doctor of Philology, Professor Sheriazdan Eleukenov.

The conference will be attended by well-known scientists from leading universities and research institutes of the republic, representatives of publishing houses, design, cultural centers, teachers and students of the university.

The following sections are planned to work at the conference:

Section 1. The evolution of the Kazakh book: language, style, genres

Section 2. Books in the digital age and issues of training specialist publishers

Section 3. The role of design in publishing

Section 4. Scientific and creative heritage of S.R. Eleukenov

The beginning of the solemn part of the conference is at 11.00 a.m. in the 409 hall of the Al-Farabi library, work in sections from 14.00 to 17.00 in classrooms 201 and 218.

Articles are accepted in Kazakh, Russian and English. The reports announced during the conference will be published in the collection of articles of the conference.

The text of the article is presented in 1 copy. The text is typed in Times New Roman and Kz Times New Roman font, size 14, 1 interval apart, all margins are 20 mm. The paragraph should start with 4 characters. The volume of the article is 6-10 pages.

When writing articles, it is necessary to adhere to the following plan:

- initials and surname of the author;

- the title of the article in capital letters in bold;

- references to sources are given in numbers in square brackets as they are mentioned;

- at the end, the article must be signed by the author, the full surname, first name, patronymic, full name of the institution where the work was performed, and contact phone number are provided;

- the text of the article should be carefully edited, without any typos;

- the authors are responsible for the content of the articles;

- articles whose design does not meet the specified requirements are not allowed to be published.
