Thus, the leading Kazakhstani University has successfully completed the task set by Elbasy N.A.Nazarbayev, as well as laid down in the State Program on Development of Education and Science of the RK, on entering by 2020 at least of two Kazakhstani Universities in the top-200 best HEIs of the world. KazNU has confirmed its compliance with the high level in the world scientific and educational space.

This year has become special for our alma mater - Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi. It is marked by international events in connection with the 1150th anniversary of al-Farabi, whose name is worthy of the university.

The Lab Immersive Journalism and New Media laboratory was organized at KazNU (supervisors of professors Ibraev G.Zh. and Balakayev G.T.). On March 2, 2020, with the support of the international organization IWPR, a training was held on the laboratory “Digital Immersive Journalism and Media Literacy” in which we, undergraduates and doctoral students of the 1st year of the Faculty of Information Technology, took an active part. The training was conducted by a participant in many international pieces of training, professor of the journalism faculty, doctor of political sciences G. Ibraeva.
