The faculty and staff of Al-Farabi KazNU actively participated in the process of mass vaccination. The Russian vaccine "Sputnik V" is being vaccinated at the university.

In honor of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence and in accordance with the concept of celebrating Nauryz in the article "Independence is the most precious thing" by President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized an online amateur competition "Student Spring 2021".

The purpose of the competition is to strengthen the traditions among young people, respect for national instruments, strengthen peace and friendship, preserve national identity, form a compassionate attitude to the environment. Despite the pandemic in the world, the youth of KazNU took an active part in this competition, which is eagerly awaited by students of KazNU. It was not easy for the judges of the competition to choose the best young people who are worthy of their art and example. However, the condition of the competition is to determine the best runners.

18.03.2021 students of the 2nd year of the English department of the specialty "Computer Engineering" in order to familiarize foreign students with the Kazakh traditions held an open curatorial hour on the topic "Kazakh national traditions" in honor of the Nauryz holiday. The winners of the annual competition "The best teacher of the university - 2020", organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to motivate and encourage the teaching staff of higher educational institutions, have been announced. The award ceremony was held online on the ZOOM platform in accordance with the requirements of quarantine measures. The event was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, heads of universities, as well as teachers.

Among the winners of the competition "The best teacher of the university - 2020" is our colleague - senior teacher of the Department of Informatics Kabdrakhova Symbat Seisenbekovna. The winners of the competition in the hall of the Academic Council of KazNU were awarded the badges «The best teacher of the university in 2020».
