Under the guidance of a senior lecturer of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, Faculty of Information Technologies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Tolepberdinova G.A., 1st and 2nd year undergraduates Semyatova A.N., Abdykalyk E.U., Zhanabekova A.Zh took part.

In the laboratory of the Department of Informatics, Nurdaulet Tasmurzaev, together with his scientific team, developed a program that instantly determines the presence of a mask in a person. The innovative development will allow video surveillance cameras to identify violators of the quarantine regime, the correspondent of Almaty.tv reports.

On November 25^th at 4:15 PM at the Department of Information Systems an online curatorial hour was held on the topic: "December 1 - Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan" with the participation of 2nd year students from gr. IS 1910. The curatorial hour was held by 1st year doctoral student Nazerke Baisholan, as a trainee and curator, associate professor Nazira Sakhimzhanovna Baymuldina.

Professor of the National University of Sciences and Technology, Head of R&D at MCS-NUST and Director of National Cyber Security Auditing and Evaluation Lab (Pakistan), Dr. Haider Abbas was invited by Information Systems Department at KazNU to deliver a series of lectures for Master’s students in “Information Security Systems” specialization.
