On December 12, 2019, lecturers, students of Department of Religious and Cultural Studies, as well as doctoral researcher Mya Su San participated in a round table dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the «Golden man” in Gylym ordasy. The event was organized by the Museum of archaeology together with the Museum of history of Kazakhstani science of republican state enterprise "Gylym ordasy".
On December 9, 2019, the second-year master's student of the specialty "Islamic Studies" Chalgymbayev Yernar together with the third-year students of the specialty "Religious Studies" held an open event "Dari teplo" within the framework of the project "Ainalandy nurlandyr". During the event, the third-year students organized a friendly meeting with the citizens of the city in order to get acquainted with the specialties of religious studies, its importance in society and features of activity. Students gave hot tea and coffee.
On December 6, 2019 the staff and graduate students of the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of the KazNU visited the Nesibeli complex in Talgar foothil with Asunción Lopez-Varela, professor of Madrid Competense University in Spain. At the event, organized by the department, folks talked on free topics with professor Asunción and religious symbolism, contemporary art and religion, nomadic Kazakh culture, etc. This event is being implemented within the framework of the joint international cooperation program of the Foundation "One Asia Foundation" and KazNU.
