Within the framework of the 100 Books project, with the participation of 1-2 year students of the faculties of history, archeology and ethnology and physical engineering, a debate was held on the topic “How well do you know classical literature?”

The faculty of history, archeology and ethnology of the KazNU together with Akimats of Almaty region and Almaty, the Republican movement Ak Orda and the Baidibek Baba foundation held a republican scientific-practical conference on the topic “The role of the batyrs in the history of the Kazakhs” dedicated to the 420th anniversary of the Kazakh batyr Karasai Altynayuly.
The conference brought together historians, intellectuals, local historians, teachers and students of the Kazakh National University.
Opening the plenary session, KazNU rector Galym Mutanov noted that young people should know the legendary batyrs who defended the independence of their native land. “Karasai Batyr accomplished many feats and was well known not only in the Kazakh steppe, but also beyond its borders. Batyr left behind a brilliant school of military topographers and strategists. His talent was especially developed in the 20-30s of the XVIII century, when the war with the Dzungars unfolded in full force. Batyr detachments did not know defeat. He did not distinguish between Kazakhs in Zhuzam, clans and communities. For him, there existed a single people, a single Fatherland, the sacred frontiers of the Motherland, to which he devoted his life to safety, ”the rector emphasized.
In his speech, the professor of KazNU Talas Omarbekov said that Batyr Karasai Altynayuly comes from the Shaprashti tribe, a genus of Escoja. Sapk-Saga Lake in Narynkol has two valleys, one named after the fearless batyr Shaprashta, the other - in honor of his great-grandson, the brave Karasay batyr. “The Shaprashty tribe and the Escozha clan are considered the most militant in Zhetysu,” T. The Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology, the Department of History of Kazakhstan organized a meeting on the theme “Zhyr-anyz dastury: otkenmen men zhangyruy”, with the guest of honor, one of the best journalists of Kazakhstan journalism, who restored aytys Suyunbay and Kattagan, laureate "Kurmet", winner of the "Information Industry" award, a veteran of the Kazakh Radio Koyshygul Mustafaevich.

The meeting was initiated by the Dean of the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Assoc. Professor M.S. Nogaybayeva. The guests of the event were a prominent republican scientist, Professor T.O. Omarbekov, Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan, Professor B. B. The first year students of the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology and the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management participated.

In honor of the national currency as a symbol of independence, an educational event was held together with first-year students of the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management on the theme “Tenge is a symbol of independence”.  Today, the tenge is an integral symbol of state independence, and finds its application in all spheres of life of the people of Kazakhstan. Over the years, the national currency was not only able to withstand the financial crisis with the support of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, but also gained public confidence in the field of investment. This evening was officially held in DSP Keremet at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
