During the event, foreign students received country-specific information about the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On October 2, 2020, curators and advisors of the Department of language and General education of foreigners of the Faculty of pre-University Education held an open educational event in the online format "history of the city of Almaty. Attractions" for foreign students of the advanced level studying Russian language. During the event, teachers told about the events that influenced the creation and development of the city, as well as presented video materials to the audience. Students also made presentations on a given topic.

October 1, 2020 club "Let's go to the movies!» of the Department of language and General education training of foreigners of the Faculty of pre-University Education together with curators-advisors held an educational event in the online format "Verny – Alma-Ata – Almaty" in groups of foreign students studying Russian. During the event, students learned about the history and present day of our city and watched a film on this topic.

During September 21-26, 2020, the Center for educational work "History, culture of the region" of the Department of language and General education of foreigners of the Faculty of pre-University Education, together with curators-advisors, held informative conversations in online format about the Day of languages of the people of Kazakhstan in groups of foreign students studying the Kazakh language. During the events, teachers told about the history of the holiday, as well as demonstrated a slide show.

25.09.2020 the Center for educational work "History, culture of the region" together with curators-advisors of the Department of language and General education of foreigners of the Faculty of pre-University Education held an event with foreign students studying Russian, dedicated to the Day of languages of the people of Kazakhstan, in an online format. At the event, students received information about the history of a unique holiday celebrated in Kazakhstan since 1998.

Teachers of the Department of language and Department of Language and general education of foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education at the next meeting discussed in detail the message of President K.Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan, made on September 1, 2020. The message was prepared by associate Professor Ignatova Elena, who focused on the key points of the document, emphasizing the timeliness and importance of the President's speech for every citizen of the country. Special attention was paid to issues related to the problems of education. The proposals of the Head of state for the further development of the country in all these areas were received with sincere interest and aroused the approval of the staff of the Department.

Its first in the 2020-2021 school year, the teachers of the Department of Language and general education of foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education with great interest listened to the message, senior lecturer M.Aznabakieva "On main provisions of speeches of the President of Kazakhstan K.Tokayev for the fight against corruption and measures for their implementation in al-Farabi KazNU". The message was illustrated with a slide show that demonstrated the main steps of the University's management and staff in this direction. The staff of the Department unanimously supports the project "University without corruption" implemented at the University.

Teachers of the Department of language and Department of Language and general education of foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education at their first meeting this academic year discussed in detail the speech of President K.Tokayev at the meeting on combating corruption on August 19, 2020. The orders of the Head of state to give a new impetus to anti-corruption activities in all areas and concrete steps in this regard were received with sincere interest and aroused the approval of the staff of the Department.

On April 30, 2020, teachers of the Department of language and General education of foreigners of the Faculty of pre-University education held an event "Victory Day -75 years. Participation of Kazakhstan people in the Great Patriotic war" in the framework of the project "Айналаңды нұрландыр". Teachers told students about the contribution of Kazakhstan people to the victory over fascism.
